Show N Tell Ministries is a non-profit 501c3 organization that hosts events to glorify God and enhance the Garner, NC community. These events are designed to spread love, using the gift of entertainment and creativity to enrich the lives of those in our community. The events we hold include concerts, plays, benefits, and more.

Every event we create promotes the love of Jesus Christ for all people, regardless of their background. In addition, we celebrate holidays like Christmas and the Fourth of July as a community. Our events help to provide inspiration for those seeking meaning in their lives or who want a place to belong.

Our events also are created to honor and to recognize our military service personnel and military veterans.

These include Salute to the Troops, Wreath Laying and Gold Star Tree, and The Wall That Heals in Garner, NC.

In 2022, Show N Tell Ministries teamed with the City of Garner to bring THE WALL THAT HEALS to Lake Benson Park. This is a traveling ¾-scale replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial.

Thousands came to visit The Wall. Week-long highlights included a Candlelight Procession honoring the 58,220 men and women named on The Wall and their families and The Walk to the Wall, when more than 250 Vietnam veterans followed the 2D U.S. Marine Aircraft Wing Band to the Wall.

Community events include the Hurricane Matthew Benefit, where more than $50,000 was raised for the N.C. Baptists on Mission by The Three Phantoms In Concert event at Raleigh Memorial Auditorium on Nov. 29, 2016. The concert included Phantom of the Opera veterans Craig Schulman, Ciaran Sheehan, and Mark Jacoby.

Our 'Broadway Singing for Florence Benefit' saw the North Carolina Symphony joining Broadway veterans Craig Schulman, Gary Mauer, Tamara Hayden, Lana Gordon, and Lawrence Clayton for a concert event benefiting victims of Hurricane Florence and helped raise more than $45,000 to assist the N.C. Baptist on Mission.

Salute to the Troops is an annual event to recognize Military veterans during May. Past events have included concerts by Steve Amerson and Laurie Gayle Stephenson, the 82ND AIRBORNE ALL-AMERICA CHORUS, the 2D U.S. Marine Aircraft Wing Band, and a production of the play, Duty.

Every December Show N Tell organizes the laying of wreaths at the Garner Veterans Memorial and the placing of a Gold Star on a tree to recognize the families of men and women who lost their lives in military service and their families.

Show N Tell is proud to sponsor many community plays dealing with both historical and current day socially-relevant issues.

These include... WAR AT YOUR DOOR - when The Civil War came to southern Wake County in April of 1865... MORE THAN A NAME - about the 11 WWII veterans honored at Garner Veterans Memorial... 87: ONE TOWN, ONCE SCHOOL, ONE TEAM - the story of the high football team won the state 4-A title... 68: OUR FINEST HOUR - about an all-Black school that merged with a predominately white school in 1968... and Duty - how the Vietnam War tore at the fabric of our local community.

Show N Tell Ministries, in conjunction with Crazy Duck Productions, has produced several award-winning documentaries...

THE WALL THAT HEALS, narrated by actor Joe Mantegna, highlights the contributions North Carolinians made to the war in Vietnam as told through the eyes of six service members who died in the conflict.

HOME, WITH HONOR - winner of two Davey Awards for Tim Stevens, looks at the the 2022 visit to Lake Benson Park in Garner, NC of The Wall That Heals, a ¾-scale replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial, and examines the impact it had on the local community.

PICK UP YOUR MAT AND WALK [in production]

The Wilson Fike High School football teams won state championships in 1967, 1968, and 1969. Some 50+ years later, the players and coaches look back on what they accomplished in those years and their greatest pride doesn’t involve football. In the midst of conflicts about integration, women’s rights, and the war in Vietnam, they found a way to unite a community.

PTSD: The Invisible Enemy – We bring to light the stories of the men and women who fought in Vietnam and in the Global War on Terror but are now forgotten.

Pick Up Your Mat and Walk – The Wilson Fike H.S. football teams won state championships in 1967, 1968, and 1969. Some 50+ years later, the players and coaches look back on what they accomplished in those years and their greatest pride doesn’t involve football.

The Wall That Heals – This 30-minute film explores the contributions North Carolina made to the war in Vietnam, as told through the eyes of six service members who died in the conflict, as well as the impact it had on survivors.

Home, with Honor – The Wall That Heals, a ¾-scale replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial, visited Garner, N.C., in 2022. The film examines what the visit meant to the community.

Hunger, with Dignity – One in five children in North Carolina have food insecurity, meaning they are unsure about where they will receive their next meal.


The Wall That Heals Exhibit - Garner, NC
The Wall That Heals was displayed at Garner’s Lake Benson Park on March 31 through April 3, 2022. The exhibit, hosted by Show N Tell Ministries and the Town of Garner, is the preeminent traveling replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial. The Wall is a 3/4 scale replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial and travels with a mobile education center. Our website also includes Our Community in Vietnam featuring the faces and stories of of the brave men from our community who represented their country in Vietnam. They proudly served in the U.S. Army, U.S. Marine Corps, U.S. Navy, U.S. Air Force, US. Coast Guard, as well as civilian units… Fallen Veterans – profiles for those veterans from Harnett County, Johnston County, and Wake County who gave their life in defense of our country and were subsequently honored with a place on The Wall… The VMF Memory Program – honoring Vietnam veterans whose lives were cut short as a result of their service after they returned home from Vietnam. Show N Tell Ministries’ outreach program helps raise funds for worthy causes and honor the heroes within our community.

Significant events include Hurricane Benefits, Fundraising to assist the N.C. Baptist on Mission, Salute to the Troops, and annual Wreath Laying and Gold Star Tree ceremonies.

MUSIC

We have been proud to bring a host of inspirational, patriotic and holiday themed concerts along with special musical presentations to our community. Featured acts include the 82nd Airborne Division All-American Chorus, the 2D U.S. Marine Aircraft Wing Band, Voices of Service, Steve Amerson, Laurie Gayle Stephenson, Hollywood composer, singer and arranger Mark Vogel, and a lot more.
